    FEBRUARY 11, 2011

New office features Saturday hours, added services Image: Our Customers are number 1

Mid-Michigan's first Secretary of State SUPER!Center opened today and offers customers the added convenience of Saturday hours and more services offered locally, Secretary of State Ruth Johnson announced.

The Capital Area SUPER!Center at 3315 E. Michigan Ave. in Lansing was formed by consolidating the East Lansing and Lansing Downtown offices.

"Customers today expect service that fits into their busy schedules, which is why I'm pleased to bring Saturday morning hours to mid-Michigan," Johnson said. "Our focus is on providing more services to our customers while increasing their convenience and availability. Our SUPER!Centers, like this new one in mid-Michigan, help us achieve our goal."

The new SUPER!Center offers instant titles, expanded hours on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday hours from 9 a.m. to noon, Commercial Driver License testing stations, driver's license appeals hearing officers and the certification of documents for use in other countries, such as for foreign adoptions. The office also features free parking and a Self-Service Station available to customers 24 hours a day for license plate tab renewals. It is conveniently located near Interstate 496 and U.S. Highway 127.

Johnson reminds customers that they can often "skip the trip" to a branch office by renewing their vehicle and watercraft registrations online or through the mail.
