US-127 BR public meeting scheduled in Alma

WHAT: An open house-style public meeting to provide information about a US-127 Business Route (BR) road improvements project in Gratiot County, expected to begin this fall.

BACKGROUND: This meeting will provide an opportunity for the public to meet with MDOT staff and ask questions about road improvements along US-127 BR from North State Road west to the Pine River bridge in the city of Alma.

The project is expected to start this fall. Work will include resurfacing, road, curb and gutter repairs, and improvements to make sidewalks and ramps compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This project also will involve a conversion from four lanes to three lanes.

Public input is being sought to help MDOT recognize and address any concerns regarding this proposed work.
