BACKGROUND: The reconstruction of Winston Road, which provides access to US-31 from Rothbury through Grant Township, was a critical state incentive for the conversion of a former iron foundry into a steel foundry for Rothbury Steel, Inc. The project includes reconstructing the roadway and repairing the Winston Road bridge over US-31 in order to prevent any future weight restrictions. Construction is planned for 2012 and 2013. This project will support the 300 jobs and associated commercial traffic generated by Rothbury Steel, Inc.
