Know what is an approved postsecondary educational institution for Michigan Merit Award purposes?

An "approved institution" is a postsecondary educational institution approved by the Michigan Merit Award Board. Such institutions include public and independent traditional 4-year and 2-year colleges and universities, as well as a variety of vocational, technical and apprenticeship programs as listed in the most recent Michigan Postsecondary Admissions and Financial Assistance Handbook. Your school counselor should have a copy of this book, or you can review a partial list of institutions by visiting the Michigan Merit Award Web site (www.MeritAward.state.mi.us).
