The Office of Financial and Insurance Services (OFIS) now has a searchable database with information on any insurance company licensed to do business in Michigan. The web site offers a large amount of information about insurance companies in Michigan – including complaint ratios, and enforcement actions. The searchable database allows you to look up insurance companies by type of entity or by name.  By selecting an entity, you can view address, contact, historical name, and stockholder/mutual status information.
