The Michigan Community Service Commission offers a list of agencies to contact for volunteer opportunities including: Volunteer Centers of Michigan, Michigan Citizen Corps, USA Freedom Corps Volunteer Network and Unity in the Spirit of America.
The Michigan Volunteer Defense Force is actively seeking dedicated individuals who are interested in serving the State of Michigan and their country.

Adopt-a-Highway is a Michigan Department of Transportation (M-DOT) program designed to help keep the state's highway roadsides clean and attractive. Participants adopt both sides of a section of state highway roadside to clean up over a two year period. A minimum two-mile stretch of roadway is recommended.
Do you love Michigan history? There are Department of History, Arts and Libraries volunteer opportunities with the Friends of Hartwick Pines, Mackinac State Historic Parks, the Archives of Michigan and the Docent Guild of the Michigan Historical Museum.

The Constituent Services Division serves as one of the Governor's direct links to Michigan residents. We provide an outlet for constituents' opinions and act as a liaison between citizens and state agencies.
