"Michigan citizens spend millions of dollars every year on travel outside of our two peninsulas. With so much to see and do right here in our own backyard, we have thousands of reasons to spend those dollars here at home." - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm

Families travel to open cottages, outdoor pools open, golf is in full swing and everyone is ready to enjoy the many wonders of the season.
Throughout Michigan there will be hundreds of parades and events to celebrate Memorial Day on Monday, May 26. We remember those who served in the armed forces; we salute our heroes and pause to remember their sacrifices for our liberty.
With all that going on, it's best to plan ahead. Be sure to reserve camping sites, lodging and recreational rentals so you won't be disappointed. Plan your vacation weekend with Memorial Day in mind to share in some of the many celebrations across the State.
