M-19 chip-seal work to start Monday, Aug. 10

STARTING DATE: Monday, Aug. 10, 2009

ESTIMATED COMPLETION DATE: Late August 2009

PROJECT: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is scheduled to begin chip-seal work on 7 miles along M-19 from M-46 to Deckerville Road in Sanilac County.

This project is weather-dependent.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: Single-lane and shoulder closures will be in effect for the duration of this project. Traffic will be maintained using flag control.

CUSTOMER BENEFIT: Fahrner Asphalt Sealers, LLC, of Saginaw is the contractor for this $260,000 project, which will extend the life of the roadway and increase motorist safety.
