MDOT announces I-75/M-21 ribbon-cutting ceremony

WHAT: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) invites the public to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the I-75/M-21 (Corunna Road) design build project in Genesee County.

WHEN: Monday, July 20, 2009
9 to 10 a.m.
WHERE: The ceremony will be held on the M-21 (Corunna Road) bridge over I-75. Parking will be available on-site.

Driving directions: Take I-75 Exit 118 (Corunna Road)

BACKGROUND: This project includes a complete bridge replacement, demolition of a former state police post building, the addition of a ramp auxiliary lane and 10-foot non-motorized path with fencing, along with additional safety upgrades. Work, which began in April, will wrap up early due to the committed effort of MDOT Davison Transportation Service Center staff to accelerate construction.

This $7 million project will enhance mobility and increase motorist safety.
