MDOT plans for central U.P. presented to public

WHAT: Staff from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Escanaba Transportation Service Center (TSC) will present an overview of construction, safety, and transportation enhancement projects planned for Alger, Delta, Menominee and Schoolcraft counties during the next five years.

BACKGROUND: Several projects are planned for Alger, Delta, Menominee and Schoolcraft counties during the next five years, including 2009 projects that will: reconstruct M-94 between Manistique and Dodge Lake; construct a center left-turn lane on US-41 in Wallace; resurface US-41 from Menominee to Wallace; repair the US-2/US-41/M-35 Escanaba River bridge; resurface and rebuild M-28 from the Marquette County line to Shelter Bay; and reconstruct the US-41/US-2 intersection in Rapid River.
