Association for Conflict Resolution - a professional organization dedicated to enhancing the practice and public understanding of conflict resolution.  Site includes information about training opportunities.

Center for the Prevention of School Violence - serves as a resource center and "think tank" for efforts that promote safer schools and foster positive youth development. The Center's efforts in support of safer schools are directed at understanding the problems of school violence and developing solutions to them

Conflict Resolution/Peer Mediation (CR/PM) Research Project - the result of a four-year, federally funded research initiative funded by the Office of Special Education Programs, US Department of Education to study use of conflict resolution and peer mediation in middle schools.  The site also includes conflict resolution curriculum and peer mediation training materials.

Early Warning, Timely Response, by the Center for Effective Collaboration and Practice- presents a brief summary of the research on violence prevention and intervention and crisis response in schools.  It helps school communities learn about the early warning signs that relate to violence and other troubling behaviors and the action steps that school communities can take to prevent violence and other troubling behaviors, to intervene and get help for troubled children, and to respond to school violence when it occurs.

Safe & Drug Free Schools Program, by the U.S. Department of Education, which includes:

Early Warning, Timely Response: A Guide to Safe Schools - offers research-based practices designed to assist school communities identify these warning signs early and develop prevention, intervention and crisis response plans

The Safe Schools Coalition of Washington- to help schools - at home and all over the world - become safe places where every family can belong, where every educator can teach, and where every child can learn, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation

School Violence Prevention, by the Center for Mental Health Services  - a grant program designed to develop real-world knowledge about what works best to reduce school violence

Students Against Violence Everywhere (S.A.V.E.) - a student driven organization. Students learn about alternatives to violence and practice what they learn through school and community service projects. As they participate in S.A.V.E. activities, students learn conflict management and mediation skills and the virtues of good citizenship, civility, and nonviolence

Student Pledge Against Gun Violence- a national observance giving students throughout the country the chance to sign a voluntary promise that they will:  never carry a gun to school, never resolve a dispute with a gun and  use their influence with their friends to keep them from resolving disputes with guns
