Mike arrived at the Department of Corrections in 1999 to develop the Prison Build Program, and is in charge of its overall operations.
His background is governmental relations where he worked on state legislative and policy issues in both the public and private sectors. He was a task force member of Habitat for Humanity International’s Prison Partnership team and was vice-chairman of Habitat for Humanity of Michigan. He has worked in the judicial, executive and legislative branches of government, as wells as the corporate sector.
Mike is a graduate of Michigan State University and the Detroit College of Law.
