An acceptable "record of the sale" is either a photocopy of the reassigned title or a document that includes the name, address, driver's license number and signature of the person to whom the vehicle was sold, along with the purchase price and date of the sale. While the following are not expressly covered by the Abandoned Vehicle law, a receipt with a description of the vehicle and date of donation from an acceptable charity or a title application from a licensed vehicle dealer showing the abandoned vehicle as having been traded in might be accepted by the court. > Back To Abandoned Vehicle FAQ's
