The Governor's Office of Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, formerly known as the Governor's Office of Community and Faith-Based Initiatives,formalizes the community and faith-based outreach that my administration has been involved in since taking office in 2003.

The Office's overall goal is to provide a single point of contact to help you provide critical social services in our communities. We want to reach out and fill the holes through which the most vulnerable of our residents might otherwise slip.

This office is a bridge designed to physically connect faith based and community non-profit organizations to people and resources in State Government. This office serves as link for ideas and a tool that will allow us to build stronger communities and reach out more effectively to citizens in need.

My vision for Michigan is a state that extends its hand to all citizens,creating communities of caring on both Peninsulas - a state where every citizen has equal opportunity and access to the jobs and services that make Michigan a great place to live, work and raise a family.
