Training Part I was offered in
January 2005 by the Office of the State Employer. The training material contained in this Guide is a
revision and update of the 1995 material that was distributed by the Office of
the State Employer. Departments may
find the material useful for implementing the provisions of the federal
Family and Medical Leave Act. This
material is intended to be used as a guide for implementing the Act and does not
constitute legal advice with respect to factual circumstances.
FMLA
Training Part II was offered in June
2005 by the Office of the State Employer. The
FMLA Part II program covered the new CS-1789 "Medical
Certification" form and the new CS-1790 "FMLA Employee Request &
Employer Response" form issued by the Department of Civil Service.
Also provided during this training were copies of US DOL Opinion
Letters and USERRA information.
Departments may find the materials useful for administering the FMLA and
training staff. This material is
intended to be used as a guide for administering the Act and does not constitute

FMLA and ADA Training Part III was offered on January 25, 2006 by the Office of the State Employer. The FMLA and ADA Training Part III program covered both the FMLA and the ADA using a questions and answers format and situational scenarios. Departments may find the materials useful for administering and training staff on the FMLA and ADA. This material is intended to be used as a guide for administering the FMLA and the ADA and does not constitute legal advice with respect to factual circumstances.
