The Office
of Great Workplace Development is developing a Coaching Skills Training
to introduce coaching behaviors to State of Michigan leaders. The intent of the training
is to enhance executives' skills in how they support and encourage
managers and employees who report to them. The Coaching Skills
Training will be closely linked to the MI 360. In addition participants
will be encouraged to use coaching skills to support their peers in their
own development efforts. OGWD will have the training available in 2005.
