Assure the food safety, agricultural, environmental, and economic interests of the people of the State of Michigan are met through service, partnership and collaboration.
Goals

Increase the economic impact of the food and agriculture industry from $71 billion to $100 billion.

Double agricultural exports from $1.75 billion to $3.5 billion.

Increase food and agriculture jobs from 1 million to 1.1 million.

Improve access to healthy food for Michigan consumers from 40% to 60% of residents.

Increase sustainable food and agricultural systems by increasing the number of farm verifications from 1,000 to 5,000.
