Unknown Male from Van Buren County

Unidentified John Doe - Van Buren County Subject: Asian, Hispanic or Native American Male

Date of Discovery: Oct. 29, 2010
Location of Discovery: Van Buren County, Mich.


On Oct. 29, 2010, the body of an unidentified man was found washed ashore on a Lake Michigan beach in Covert Township, Van Buren County, Mich.

The decedent is an Asian, Hispanic or Native American male with black hair, 25 to 40 years old, approximately 5-foot-6-inches tall and weighing 173 lbs. He was wearing Nike brand blue/gray swim trunks and a sleeveless tank-top shirt with tan and white vertical stripes. He also had extensive dental work.

Given the location where the body was located, it's possible the decedent could be from Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois or Minnesota.
