Suspect wanted for attempted robbery

Suspect: Black male
Age: 30's
Height: 5' 3" - 5' 4"
Other: Wearing baggy clothing including an oversized navy blue winter jacket with the hood up.

Highland Park Detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred at the Sunoco gas station on Hamilton near Webb on January 9th at approximately 6:30 - 7:00 p.m. The suspect approached a customer and attempted to rob the victim at gunpoint. The victim had a CCW permit and attempted to pull his gun on the assailant, and was shot once in the chest as the suspect fled on foot.
