The MSP Metro North Post in Oak Park investigated a bank robbery in Royal Oak Township in July 2005.  The robbery occurred in the Ferndale Kroger, where a TCF Bank branch was located.  The suspect's composite and surveillance tape was aired and a tip was received.  The FBI is considering James Robert Bates in two other area bank robberies.
