Troopers from the Michigan State Police Fifth District stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on I-94 in Lawrence Township, Van Buren County. Investigation by the trooper conducting the traffic stop led to the discovery of two highly sophisticated hidden compartments built into the car. Upon searching the compartments, over one kilogram of heroin was discovered, with an estimated street value of approximately $50,000.
Both occupants, a 22-year old male from Chicago and a 20-year male from Ypsilanti, were arrested for Possession With Intent to Deliver heroin.
