DETROIT. A Michigan State Forensic Artist has recently finished a facial reconstruction the skull of a Jane Doe found in July of 2005.
Detroit Police Officers responded to a vacant dwelling located at 4333 Wabash St. on July 13, 2005 to discover a badly decomposed body found inside of that location. No identification or personal belongings were found with the body.
The skull of this victim was turned over by the Wayne County Medical Examiners Office to Trooper Sarah Foster, a forensic artist for the Michigan State Police. Trooper Foster used her training and talents to rebuild the face of the identified victim upon the skull, in attempt to identity the deceased.
The body was determined by Dr. Norman Sauer of the Michigan State University Anthropology Lab to be that of a Caucasian female, between the ages of 40 and 60 years. She appeared to have had poor dental hygiene and was missing several teeth. The woman stood approximately 5"3" in life and was slender in build.
Any information on the unknown remains should be forwarded to the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office or the Michigan State Police Detroit Post.
