Authority Board Members

MSHDA maintains offices in Lansing and Detroit, as well as field staff for the Housing Choice Voucher rental assistance program. The Authority's staff includes development and management officers, attorneys, accountants, architects, engineers, environmental specialists, clerical personnel, and specialists in housing policy, finance, administration and construction.

The Authority Board meets once a month in Lansing. The members provide policy direction to the MSHDA staff, authorize bond issues, approve development loan commitments, and evaluate programs.

Five of the board members are appointed by the Governor, with confirmation by the State Senate, for terms of four years. The remaining members are directors of state departments.
