Public Housing Authority (PHA) Plan
The PHA Plan is a comprehensive guide to public housing agency (PHA) policies, programs, operations, and strategies for meeting local housing needs and goals. There are two parts to the PHA Plan: the Five-Year Plan, which each PHA submits to HUD once every fifth PHA fiscal year; and the Annual Plan, which is submitted to HUD every year. Any local, regional or State agency that receives funds to operate Federal public housing or Section 8 tenant-based assistance (vouchers) programs must submit a PHA Plan.
NOTICE: MSHDA has modified its previously proposed PHA Plan to include:
- a reference to the newly awarded Section 811 Project Rental Assistance Grant;
- another reference to the MSHDA Moving-Up Pilot;
- possible request for an exception payment standard if appropriate (Attachment A).
In addition, MSHDA has extended the public comment period to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Two additional public hearings have been scheduled for April 8, 2015. See Public Hearing Notice below. The changes made to the PHA Plan documents have been highlighted. The changes are located on page four of the PHA 5-Year and Annual Plan; page four of Attachment A, and on page one of the updated Summary of Proposed Changes. No changes are being made to the previously posted Attachment B document.
