MPSC to Hold Public Hearing on Proposed Rules on 9-1-1 Training Requirements

April 17, 2012 - The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today said it will hold a public hearing on proposed rules that establish basic and advanced training requirements and continuing education requirements for 9-1-1 operators statewide.

To provide the public with an opportunity to comment on the proposed rule revisions, the Commission has scheduled a public hearing at 9 a.m. on May 29, at Constitution Hall, located at 525 W. Allegan, in Lansing. 

In addition, any person may submit written comments regarding the proposed rules.  Comments should reference Case No. U-16413 and must be received by 5 p.m. on June 19.  Comments may be mailed to Executive Secretary, Michigan Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 30221, Lansing, MI  48909.  Electronic comments may be emailed to mpscedockets@michigan.gov and documents, in Word or PDF format, may be attached to the email.  Comments may also be submitted electronically through the Commission's E-Dockets website.  All information submitted to the Commission in this matter will become public information available on the Commission's website and subject to disclosure.

The MPSC is an agency within the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
