The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today approved settlement agreements for Alpena Power Company, Wisconsin Public Service Corporation, and We Energies dealing with reconciliation of power supply cost recoveries.
In Case No. U-13903-R, Alpena Power Company, according to the settlement agreement, incurred a total over-recovery, with interest through Dec. 31, 2004 of $175,512. The company has already refunded the over-recovery to its industrial and non-industrial customers.
In Case No. U-13905-R, Wisconsin Public Service Corporation, according to the settlement agreements, under-recovered a total of $330,861. This amount will be decreased by an over-collection of the company’s 2003 reconciliation of $2,182, including interest, and the remaining $854 balance of its Michigan Choice fund, including interest, bringing the total net under-recovery amount to $327,825. WPS Corporation will implement a charge of $0.00656 per kilowatt-hour on bills issued in November and December 2005 to collect the under-recovered amount.
In Case No. U-13907-R, We Energies, according to the settlement agreement, under-recovered a total of $210,153. The company will collect the amount from its Michigan retail electric customers by implementing a surcharge of $0.00175 per kilowatt-hour in its November and December 2005 billings.
