Michigan Statutes

Entities who plan on or are in the process of performing telemarketing practices in Michigan need to abide by the following laws:

PA 612 of 2002: "An act to prescribe the rights and duties of parties to home solicitation sales."

PA 613 of 2002: "An act to prohibit certain methods, acts, and practices in trade or commerce; to prescribe certain powers and duties; to provide for certainremedies, damages, and penalties; to provide for the promulgation of rules; to provide for certain investigations; and to prescribe penalties."

MCL 484.125: Delivering commercial advertising by recorded message; transfer, assignment, or sale of authorization to contact subscriber; evidence of intention to violate act; action for damages; reporting violations; use of automatic dialing equipment; termination of call; violation as misdemeanor; penalty.

MCL 14.301 et seq: Public Safety Solicitation Act.
