Customer Choice of Companies

You can identify the companies that are qualified to conduct business in your area by reviewing two websites.

The first website contains a list of telephone companies eligible to serve customers in each Michigan county (http://www.dleg.state.mi.us/mpsc/comm/clec/providerbycounty.pdf).

The second website contains addresses and telephone numbers for these companies (http://www.dleg.state.mi.us/mpsc/comm/clec/newlocal.pdf).

These companies are qualified to serve customers in your county, but we do not know which are actually offering service to residential customers.  You will need to contact the companies to ask if they are doing business in your area.  If they are not currently offering service in your county, it is because they have made that decision based on their business objectives.   We do not know when a company may find it beneficial to start offering service in your area.

To supplement these lists, you might also consult your telephone yellow pages and newspaper advertisements to see if anyone is advertising to serve residential customers.
