The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has launched a Web site that highlights various tax breaks and section 529 plan changes designed to help parents and students pay for college. Also available from the IRS are video and audio products to help taxpayers take full advantage of the 2009 tax provisions in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Information is included about the new American Opportunity Credit as well as a link to IRS Publication 970 which details the various federal tax benefits for education.
