About Post-Partum Depression

It is imperative for birth mothers to keep their follow-up medical appointments and discuss concerns with their obstetrician and/or pediatrician.

Post-partum depression is a potentially serious condition that can occur in new birth mothers. The National Women's Health Information Center (NWHIC) through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services offers a comprehensive discussion on the subject so women can educate themselves and be aware of symptoms. You can also contact the NWHIC toll free at 1-800-994-9662.
