"Michigan Works! played a very important part in our hiring process. Applications were accepted only through Michigan Works! After MeadWestvaco personnel screened the applications, Michigan Works! provided the testing needed for the applicants to go on to the next step in the application process. This was all done within a tight timeframe. The staff at Michigan Works! was very professional, accommodating and helpful. "In a challenging recruiting area and during a transformational time in recruiting, Michigan Works! The Job Force Board, Rose Wilbur in particular, has been an outstanding liaison to connect the Army with potential applicants. The Army's goal is to train and employ these people, and then return the soldiers as leaders in the Munising area."

WIA-DW program had just the right candidate for the job. Jesse G. was trained under an OJT contract and the company couldn't be happier! They are looking to Michigan Works! in Ottawa Co. to help them find more employees as they grow!

MDS CAA Retired & Senior Volunteer Program
"
The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of the Menominee-Delta-Schoolcraft Community Action Agency (MDS CAA) has a fulltime Director and a 32 hour a week Supervisor/Secretary; this Program includes the counties of Delta, Menominee, Schoolcraft in MI and Marinette County in WI.
With the retirement of the Supervisor/Secretary we needed assistance in recruiting and testing the applicants. Thanks to the efforts of Amy Berglund, Sean Depuydt and staff, we stayed on target. Out of 30 applicants, 14 were tested on Wonderlic, which we reviewed and asked Amy and Sean to test 6 individuals for computer skills testing. The testing brought us up to four candidates for interviewing which was scheduled for Thursday, June 30, 2005 with the new employee starting on Tuesday, July 5, 2005.
MI Works! Service Center was so efficient that we were able complete the interview process in a timely manner. Again thank you for sharing your expertise with RSVP."
– Theresa Nelson, Director
