A Day in the Life of a MDEQ Geologist
There are geologists who work for the State of Michigan doing a variety of jobs. Many of them belong to the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and work on environmental cleanups. Geologists will check out contaminated sites, watch to make sure pollution is cleaned up right, use special instruments to find out what soil or rock layers are present or look for contamination.
