Routine Checkups in Past Year

Why it Matters: Routine checkups are vital for preventing illness. Health professionals utilize checkups to keep on top of signs and symptoms that could lead to more serious illnesses. Routine checkups can also provide the opportunity for early detection of diseases.

*Note: Starting in 2011, the BRFSS will include data from both landline and cell phone users. In the past, the BRFSS only collected data from landline users. This change will lead to more accurate estimates; however, BRFSS results prior to 2011 cannot be compared to BRFSS results from 2011 and beyond due to this change in methods.
