Detroit Casinos Revenues Down for May by 4.25%
Detroit Casino Revenues & Wagering Taxes for May
The Michigan Gaming Control Board reports today that the aggregate revenue and taxes for all three Detroit casinos for the month of May were down by 4.25% in comparison to the same month last year, but were up by 5.8% compared to April 2009.
Revenue for MGM Grand Detroit and MotorCity casinos were down by 10.9%, 3.6%, respectively, whereas Greektown casino was up by 7.2% compared to the same month last year.
For the month of May 2009, gaming taxes for the 3 Detroit casinos were $10.750 Million compared to $11.093 Million for the same period last year.
