RESOLUTION NO. 1997-12 (Adopted 8/28/97)

A Board Resolution Authorizing And Directing The Executive Director Of The Board To Begin And Complete The Process For Promulgation Of The Attached Proposed Rules Of The Board, Pursuant To The Michigan Administrative Procedures Act.

WHEREAS, the Michigan Gaming Control Board ("the Board") is required by Section 4 (17) (d) of the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act ("the Act"), as amended, to promulgate rules necessary to implement, administer, and enforce the Act pursuant to the Michigan Administrative Procedures Act of 1969, MCL 24.201 to 24.238; and,

WHEREAS, the Board's Legislation and Rules Subcommittee has prepared the attached proposed rules of the Board, and submitted the proposed rules to the Board for review and approval authorizing the Executive Director to begin and complete the process for promulgation of said rules pursuant to the Michigan Administrative Procedures Act; and,

WHEREAS, the Board has reviewed and considered the attached proposed rules of the Board and desires to begin and complete the process for promulgation of the proposed rules pursuant to the Michigan Administrative Procedures Act; NOW THEREFORE,

IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Executive Director shall be and is hereby directed an] authorized to submit the attached proposed rules of the Board to the Governor's Office of Regulatory Reform and to the Legislative Services Bureau, and to take such other action necessary and appropriate to begin and complete the process for promulgation of the attached proposed rules of the Board, pursuant to and in accordance with the rule making requirements of the Michigan Administrative Procedures Act.
