EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ORDER NO. 1998-03 (Issued 10/26/98)

The Executive Director hereby designates and authorizes Deputy Directors Nancy Horton, Ben McMakin and Thomas Nelson and Office Administrator Larry D. Smith to issue subpoenas for the attendance of witnesses and to administer oaths and affirmations in the name of the Michigan Gaming Control Board and its Executive Director, pursuant to Sections 4 (8) and 4a (1)(i) of the Michigan Gaming Control & Revenue Act, as amended, 1996 PA 69, MCL 432.204 (8) and MCL 432.204a (1)(i), and Rule 214(e)(f) (h) of the Rules of the Board, in order to enable the Board to administer and execute its statutory duties and responsibilities in an efficient and proper manner.

A certified court stenographer or reporter who reports testimony presented and taken at a deposition or hearing of the Board or a notary public who attests to and certifies a written statement prepared for the Board is also authorized to administer oaths for and on behalf of the Board and its Executive Director.
