Alcohol Restrictions: You may not possess or consume an alcoholic beverage in the park April 1 through Labor Day (unless the park manager has granted written authorization through an event permit).

Bike Rental: Bicycle rental is available at the Metamora-Hadley Campground Store, located just north of the modern campground, April through October (dates vary). For details, reservation info and group rates, call 810-797-2300. Paddling equipment is also available for rent.

Boat Rental: The Metamora-Hadley Campground Store offers row boat, kayak, paddle board, stand-up paddleboard, paddle boat and canoe rentals from the beach house Memorial Day through Labor Day weekends (off-season hours available; check with campground store). Hunting: Hunting is allowed in the state park; however, you should call this park directly to inquire about any special rules, concerns or considerations.

Metal Detecting: Metal detecting is recognized as a legitimate recreation activity when it is conducted in ways that do not damage natural and cultural resources in Michigan state parks nor violate applicable state statutes. This park map clearly shows where this activity is allowed to take place. Any items found must be reviewed by park staff and may be retained for further investigation. Areas located within the campground are limited to registered campers only.

Paddlesports: Paddling is popular on Lake Minnawanna.
Pet-Friendly Area Item is accessible.
Pet-Friendly Area: Pets are allowed along the Lake Minnawanna shoreline except for the designated swim beach. Pets must always be on a 6-foot leash and under an owner’s immediate control. All pet waste must be properly disposed of in trash receptacles.

Swimming: A designated swim area is in the park’s day-use area. There is an accessible walkway to the water.

Beach House: The beach house is in the day-use area on Lake Minnawanna and includes restrooms, showers and changing courts. Food concessions and rentals (row boats, kayaks, paddle boards, stand-up paddleboards, paddle boats and canoes) are also available.

Boat Launch: There is a boating access site on Lake Minnawanna. No-wake rules are in place.
