• What is Mentor Michigan?
Mentor Michigan, led by Governor Jennifer Granholm and First Gentleman Dan Mulhern, is working to ensure that all of our youth have ongoing relationships with stable, caring individuals. Together with mentoring programs throughout the state, it is working to support and enhance mentoring programs throughout the state.

• Governor Establishes Mentor Michigan Leadership Council
The Mentor Michigan Leadership Council is made up of high profile executives and leaders who champion mentoring and supporting mentoring through promotional activities and partnership development. The Mentor Michigan Leadership Council is part of the Michigan Community Service Commission and is comprised of 15 members appointed by the Governor.

• Mentor Michigan Providers Council
The Providers Council provides expertise and direction to the Michigan Community Service Commission as it implements Mentor Michigan activities.

• Reading for Leading
First Gentleman Mulhern, the leader of Mentor Michigan, authors Reading for Leading. It is a weekly e-column that stimulates the thought and development of leaders throughout the country. Each week, Mulhern shares his personal experiences as he writes about real people as leaders and explores both successful strategies and various misconceptions he's observed in leadership practice. The column is offered free of charge to anyone with an interest in leadership.
