PROJECT DETAILS: Expansion joint replacement on northbound US-131 just north of Market Avenue.

TRAFFIC IMPACT: Only the right lane of northbound US-131 will be open between Franklin Street and Market Avenue from 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept.15, to 6 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16.

Two left lanes of northbound US-131 will be open between Franklin Street and Market Avenue from 6 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, to 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19.

The Franklin Street, Wealthy Street and Market Avenue on ramps to northbound US-131 will be closed from 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, to 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19.

Detour: North on Market Avenue, west on Pearl Street and north on Scribner Avenue to northbound US-131.

BACKGROUND: Once the expansion joint is replaced, the elevated pavement, or "bump", will be diamond-grinded to provide a smoother ride.

MDOT says: Construction work zones need your undivided attention.
