November 19, 2010 -- The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has completed roadwork on US-10 in Midland County.
Crews completed paving work, including re-striping the highway on Friday, Nov. 12. All lanes now are open in both directions and all that remains to be completed is repairing culvert joints and minor clean-up work. Shoulder closures remain in effect until this work wraps up.
The overall project, which began in April, included resurfacing, ramp reconstruction, drainage and guardrail improvements. Work extended 7 miles from M-18 east to the Sanford Lake bridge in Midland.
This $16.3 million project will benefit motorists by extending the life of this section of roadway and enhancing the ride quality for many years to come.
