M-100 detour begins next week in Grand Ledge

PROJECT: M-100 (Jefferson Street) is being reconstructed between Franklin Street and Taylor Street in downtown Grand Ledge. Work also includes upgrading utilities and replacing curbs, gutters and sidewalk ramps.

Resurfacing also will take place on Jefferson Street between Taylor Street and Bridge Street, and on a portion of Bridge Street from Jefferson Street to the Grand River bridge.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS: Starting on Monday, Jefferson Street will be closed between Franklin and Taylor streets with a detour posted utilizing M-43 (Saginaw Highway), Jenne Street and Bridge Street. A separate detour will be in place for commercial truck traffic. These detours are expected to be in place until late August.

Outside of the detour area, there will be single-lane closures on M-100. Bridge Street work will take place at night, Monday through Thursday.
