Lots of parking ahead for I-96 and Alden Nash Avenue carpool lot

PROJECT DETAILS: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) carpool lot on Alden Nash Avenue at I-96 (Exit 52) will be resurfaced and expanded from approximately 112 spaces to 288 spaces.

TRAFFIC IMPACT: During the first phase of the project, approximately 30 parking spaces will be unavailable due to construction. In July, carpoolers will be able to use the new lot while the existing lot is being resurfaced. The attached PDF displays the four project phases.

There are three additional MDOT carpool lots in the area:
- I-96 at East Beltline Avenue (I-96 Exit 38)
- Jordan Lake Road at Grand River Avenue (I-96 Exit 64)
- M-6 at 60th Street (M-6 Exit 15)

In addition, MDOT carpool parking is available at nearby Meijer locations:
- 11901 Fulton St., Lowell
- 5531 28th St. SE, Grand Rapids
