BACKGROUND: This spring, Farm Lane will be closed to pedestrians and vehicles from Mt. Hope Road, north to Trowbridge Road. The closure is needed for construction to lower Farm Lane under two railroad crossings: the Canadian National (CN) line just north of Service Road, and the CSX line just north of Mt. Hope Road. The project also involves widening the roadway, and adding bike paths and sidewalks.
During construction, traffic will be rerouted utilizing posted, local detour routes. Construction is expected to be completed in the summer of 2009.
To learn more about this project, please attend one of the information meetings on Feb. 26 or March 3.
