M-25 and M-46 bridge replacements scheduled in Huron and Tuscola counties

STARTING DATE: Monday, May 14, 2012

ESTIMATED COMPLETION DATE: Late August 2012

PROJECT: A $3 million bridge replacement project at two locations: the M-25 bridge over Harbor Beach Creek in Huron County, and on the M-46 bridge over Sucker Creek in Tuscola County.

Emerging bridge technology will be used during construction on the M-25 bridge over Harbor Beach Creek.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: 

M-25 over Harbor Beach Creek

- Traffic will be rerouted to Rapson Road, then Port Hope Road to Filion Road, and back to M-25.

M-46 over Sucker Creek

- Two-way traffic on M-46 will be maintained using a temporary bridge; no detour in effect.

CUSTOMER BENEFIT: This work will increase safety by improving the overall condition of the bridges. The use of emerging bridge technology is expected to enhance mobility and accelerate the M-25 construction schedule.
