I-96 improvements from M-66 to the Ionia/Clinton county line start Monday

PROJECT DETAILS: Repairing 13 miles of concrete pavement on I-96 from M-66 east to the county line, resurfacing interchange ramps and repairing pavement at the two Portland weigh stations.

TRAFFIC IMPACT: There will be weekly 3-mile lane closures on I-96 from 12 a.m. Mondays (Sunday night/Monday morning) through noon Thursdays. All lanes will be open to traffic from noon Thursday through 12 a.m. Monday. There will be periods of no activity during lane closures for curing concrete. All ramps will remain open during resurfacing work.
