MDOT to host public meeting to discuss northbound US-23 construction near US-223

WHAT: Information meeting hosted by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) to discuss reconstructing northbound US-23 between Sterns Road and US-223, as well as adding roundabouts at the US-23/US-223 interchange and making interchange improvements at Sterns Road and Consear Road. MDOT staff will be available to answer questions regarding this two-year project.

BACKGROUND: Starting this fall, MDOT will begin constructing temporary crossovers along US-23. Ramp improvements also will take place at the Sterns Road and Consear Road interchanges.

In addition, work will take place this fall at the Dundee Welcome Center along US-23 that includes pavement repair in the parking areas.

In 2013, construction will begin on northbound US-23 and at the US-223 interchange.
