The Specialized Services Coordination Team provides state agency, provider, and user perspectives regarding the provision of all transportation program services to persons with disabilities and seniors. The team makes recommendations for improvement in the coordination of transportation services for these populations.

• Promotes the coordination of federal/state human service agencies and PTD transportation programs including identification of barriers to coordination, legislative initiatives, and funding support.

• Identify new methods/services that improve the impact of all transit programs on the senior and disability population.

• Reviews and comments on the annual application process and funding recommendations for the state Specialized Services Operating Assistance Program and the federal Section 5310 Capital Assistance program.

• Provide feedback on the design and implementation of all transit programs with respect to their impact on the senior and disability population.

• Review and comment on proposed legislation that impacts transportation services for the senior and disability population.
