System Profile
Bay Metro was started in 1974 to provide public transportation to Bay City's urbanized area.  During FY 1992, the agency changed to an Act 196 transportation authority.  In addition, the system also provides countywide service and service to Arenac.  The basic service is a combination of line-haul and demand-response utilizing 62 vehicles.
