System Profile 
Manistee County initiated countywide public transportation services in 1975 and is operated by Manistee County Transportation, Inc., a private nonprofit corporation, located in northwestern lower Michigan. The transit system operates in a service area of approximately 544 square miles.  Services to seniors and persons with disabilities comprise 40 percent of the total ridership.  Manistee County presently has a dedicated transportation millage to support public transportation services.
