Maintenance Worker Maintenance Worker

General Overview: Perform highway, bridge, and roadside maintenance, including sign maintenance and pavement marking. Maintenance activities include equipment servicing and facility and grounds maintenance.

Working Conditions: Work is performed by equipment operations and manual labor. May require an employee to be exposed to hazardous work environments and work in an environment that involves exposure to unpleasant and noxious fumes and odors.

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods, up to eight (8) hours, sustain long periods in confined spaces, handle heights, wear adequate personal protective equipment, complete the physical qualifications required by the Federal Commercial Driver's License, sustain extensive and repetitive twisting, bending, climbing, lifting, squatting, lift up to 100 pounds, traverse rough terrain, and be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

Education: High school diploma or a GED Certificate.

Special Requirements, Licenses, & Certifications: Require possession of the Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the Secretary of State.
